Since we built our mills, our main goal was efficiency in the use of resources. Our mill design allows us to recyle water and minimize the use of it. After the water serves its purpose, it goes through filters in order to leave it solid-free, ending up in filtration wells where special organic products are added to finish cleaning and filtering the used water.
PARCHMENT UTILIZATION
The parchment produced in the dry mill is stored in a silo. This parchment is used as fuel in the mills in order to reduce waste and the use of wood.
COMPOSTING OF PULP
The pulp is transported from the wet mill into tanks filled with earthworms in order to produce lombricompost, which is then used as an organic fertilizer in the coffee fields, returning organic matter to the soil.
